(8-10-25) Two bookings took place yesterday by Mercer County law enforcement.

Three from the Darke County Sheriff’s Office were also booked yesterday bringing the total number to 72 inmates housed. The large number is due to numerous inmates being held for the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

James Kerns (68) was booked yesterday by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office on a 1st degree misdemeanor of domestic violence, knowingly cause physical harm.

He is being held with no bond at the Mercer County Adult Detention Center awaiting a Celina Municipal Court hearing.

Kevin Evers (33) was booked yesterday on two charges…3rd degree misdemeanor of criminal mischief and 1st degree misdemeanor of DUI.

He was released after being booked and will be awaiting a Celina Municipal Court hearing.
