(8-9-25) On August 8, 2025 at approximately 9:51 p.m. Darke County Deputies were dispatched to the area of Hollansburg Tampico Road and Stingley Road, in reference to a traffic offense complaint. Deputies were advised a gray Honda Civic was driving all over the roadway, not stopping for stop signs, and driving with their turn signal on.

The vehicle continued southbound on Hollansburg-Tampico Road at a reported high rate of speed while entering the Village of Hollansburg. While in Hollansburg, the vehicle veered to the left side of the road and struck a parked unoccupied 2014 black Hyundai Sonata head-on.
Hollansburg Fire and Tri-Village Rescue were dispatched to the scene after the crash occurred due to injuries being unknown. The driver of the Honda was identified as Marlon Ramirez (26) of Portland, Indiana.
Ramirez was transported to Reid Health for his injuries sustained in the crash. Ramirez’s condition is unknown at this time. Alcohol and speed are suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash and remain under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
