(8-7-25) U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno visited The Side Rail in Wapakoneta on Tuesday to discuss the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB).

The spending and tax bill was passed by Congress, and President Trump signed it into law on July 4th.

The bill extends and maintains many provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, like making tax cuts permanent and increasing the child tax credit. The bill adds no tax on overtime or tips.

Moreno said –

“We’re going to really talk about how we’re putting money back in the hands of working Americans. The average family in Ohio that makes $90,000 a year will see $7,500 in tax relief because of this bill.

This is about helping working Americans live the American dream, be able to have a life where they feel they can get ahead.

It’s a great way to take care of your people. As you know, having a child is expensive and having that baby know that by the time that your child is in your 20s or 30s, they have a nest egg that allows them not to live in your basement, allows them to go buy their own home, be able to afford a car, be able to get married and start a family earlier.”
