(7-25-25) The Lima Police Department was called to the intersection of South St. Johns Avenue and East Fourth Street at around 6:15 p.m. last night for a reported motorcycle crash with two other vehicles. When officers arrived, they found Glendon King (55) of St. Marys suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to Lima Memorial Health System, where he later pass away.

King was traveling north on St. Johns Avenue when he attempted to pass several vehicles at the intersection by moving into oncoming traffic. During the maneuver, he struck two vehicles and was thrown from his motorcycle.
Police say it appears King was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
