(7-22-25) VFW Post 5713 Quartermaster Jim Babcock, past commander Karl Hagaman, and Commander Paige Shivers presented Carl Huber & Sherri Black with a $3,200 check on behalf of Celina VFW Post 5713 to purchase a portable AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation (VF) and pulseless ventricular tachycardia and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electricity which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to re-establish an effective rhythm.

The life-saving device will be used by the Celina High School and Junior High Bowling Teams at their home meets — and will also travel with them to tournaments across the region.
