Shelby County Emergency Management Agency Preliminary Tornado Report – July 19

At approximately 9:21 PM this evening, a possible tornado was reported near the intersection of State Route 274 and Pasco-Montra Road in the Anna area. The sighting was called into dispatch by a deputy, prompting the activation of the outdoor warning sirens .

Initial indications suggest a weak circulation resulted in a funnel cloud that touched down for a short period of time (approximately less than 3 minutes).

📡 EMA is working closely with the National Weather Service in Wilmington to determine the official classification of this event.

🌾 Damage to corn crops in the 14000 block of Lochard Road.
