(7-12-25) Below is a Facebook posting from Greg McGlinch of Versailles, Ohio on a recent order of chicks sent via the U.S. Postal Service that ended up in Versailles, Indiana…not in Versailles, Ohio.
Unexpected trip to Versailles, Indiana this morning. The logistics department at the US Postal Service decided to ship 80 chicks to Versailles, Indiana instead of Versailles, Ohio. That is correct, Versailles, Indiana. This has become a common issue in the last year.

These chicks have been enroute from Northern Ohio since Wednesday. Between paying $30 shipping and a newly added $15 surcharge for safe handling of the birds, we finally received our little friends two days late. I wish the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General would care as much for our animals as we do in agriculture.
I want to give a shoutout to the Postmasters in Versailles, Ohio and Indiana. They were very supportive and provided great care and handling of the animal’s. Wonderful people working hard for us at the local level !
