(6-29-25) More than $1 billion in tax relief.

The Senate passed a constitutionally required balanced budget this week that implemented a single flat tax bracket of 2.75%.

Compare that to where we were a decade ago when the state had 9 income tax brackets with a top rate of 5%, and clearly we have come a long way in reducing the bureaucracy burden on Ohioans.

The new budget also provides substantial property tax reform.

No new emergency levies.

No new replacement levies.

It empowers county budget commissions to be vigilant in monitoring revenue raised from levies.
