WAPAKONETA, OH (6-27-25) — After a successful and fun-filled experience last year, the Wapakoneta Young Professionals (WYP) are once again stepping behind the bar for the Auglaize County Fair’s annual concert. This year’s show, set for Saturday, August 2nd, will feature country star Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry with local favorite Brother Believe Me opening the night.

The WYP group, a local organization for professionals ages 21 to 40, is currently seeking volunteers to help serve drinks at the event. Volunteers must be 21 or older and will work from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. As a thank-you, each volunteer will receive free admission to the concert.

Concertgoers can expect Anheuser-Busch beer to be served throughout the evening. The popular “bag of beer” special, offering six beers for $20, is also making a return, along with single beer purchases for $4. Water will be sold separately by the local Boy Scouts.

Fair officials emphasized the importance of volunteers in pulling off major events like this one.

One official said-

“We couldn’t do it without the help of groups like the Wapakoneta Young Professionals. Their energy and support are a big part of what makes this night run so smoothly.”

WYP continues to grow its impact in the community through networking, education, and service, and opportunities like this give young professionals a chance to give back in a fun and engaging way.
