(6-25-25) On June 21, the Fishers (Ind) Police Department responded to the 9300 block of Benton Drive for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived to find a female victim who had been shot multiple times. The victim was holding an infant at the time. Officers immediately rendered aid to the victims until EMS arrived and transported them to a local hospital.

The suspect, Giovanny Javier De Jesus De Jesus, 21, of Anderson, was known to the victim, as he is her ex-boyfriend and father of the infant she was holding. De Jesus fled the scene before officers arrived. Witnesses provided vital information regarding the description of the suspect and the car he was in.

The victim underwent surgery and is reported to be in stable condition and recovering. Her infant child was evaluated for injuries and was reported to have sustained minor abrasions.

The Fishers Police Department was notified, and our officers took De Jesus into custody from Decatur Police. De Jesus was transported directly to the Hamilton County Jail.
