The members of The University Women’s Club of Mercer County are pleased to announce their selections of young women who are receiving scholarship grants totaling $10000 for the 2025 school year.

The two $1,500 Evelyn Meyers’ scholarships for high school senior girls going into the field of Education were awarded to St. Henry High School’s Heidi Franck, who is planning to attend The University of Dayton majoring in Education; and Celina High School’s Mylee Sapp, who is planning to attend Ohio Northern University with a major of Education.

The two $1,500 University Women’s Club of Mercer County Scholarships for high school senior girls (any field) were awarded to Celina High School seniors: Lillian Heckler and Jaclynn Felver. Both Lillian and Jaclynn will attend Wright State University Lake Campus. Lillian will be majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Jaclynn will be majoring in Biology with the intention of further education to become an OB/GYN physician.

The two $1,500 Scholarships for female COLLEGE Juniors going into their Senior year, which requires a GPA above 3.0, an essay, and a college professor’s recommendation, for 2025, go to: Brooklynn Fiely attending Wright State University Lake Campus in Middle Childhood Education and Abigail Knapke attending University of Cincinnati for a bachelor degree in nursing.

Garnering the first-ever awarded University Women’s Club $1000 Associate Degree Scholarship was Jenna Heuing of Coldwater High School. Jenna plans to pursue an associate degree in Business Management at Wright State University Lake Campus with the intention of developing and running her own cosmetology business.

The UWC of Mercer County unites post-secondary graduates, including associate graduates, of the vicinity for mutual educational benefits and encourages high school women from Mercer County to continue their education in two-year and four-year degrees.
