Wapakoneta Police Department Release

(5-20-26) On Monday May 19th at 8:31pm our office received a call in reference to a shooting in the 600 block of Willipie St. One male was taken to the hospital and is listed as being in critical condition.

Two males fled the scene in a vehicle and that vehicle has since been located. This investigation is still in the initial stages and we are gathering information at this time. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Jordan Barns at 419-738-2222 or email
