(5-6-25) Mercer County with just four issues on the ballot in today’s county election.
One item that was voted statewide in Ohio only had 3,412 total votes cast, it received approval in the county 2,252-1160.
Issue 2 is the bond package paying for local infrastructure, roads, bridges and other things.
The amount would be $2.5 billion. This resolution will increase the annual amount for the program from $200 million to $250 million per year. This will be paid for through state general obligation debt.
These grants cover roads, bridges, water supply, wastewater treatment, stormwater collection and solid waste disposal. These bonds must be used for these projects.
In the unofficial results the Coldwater School District Income Tax passed 942-685, Marion Local’s renewal levy passed 262-91.
