(3-31-25) Missing since March 21st a farmer discovered the vehicle Sunday afternoon of Lawrence E. Kirkpatrick (73) Pennville, Indiana in his vehicle in the Salamonie River about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kirkpatrick is believed to have drowned as a result of the crash that left his 2008 Jeep Patriot submerged underneath the water. According to reports there are no plans to conduct an autopsy.

Funeral arrangements are pending, posting will be updated when they are released.
