(3-27-25) In an email reply to the Outlook on the status of the Celina UPS Facility-
Karen Tomaszewski Hill, UPS Spokesperson
I can confirm that the Celina, OH, facility will close on May 28. (The UPS Store is a subsidiary of UPS and locations are not part of the network optimization.)
Our employees are extremely important to us, and we understand the impact this may have on them and their families. We are working to place as many employees as possible in other positions. We will work with those who may be impacted throughout the process to provide support.
As mentioned in our previous conversation, the closing is part of the changes we announced in our earnings call in January to optimize the network and improve our efficiency throughout the US.
Here is the link to our public facing statement, but I’ve also pasted it below for you.
UPS Statement on U.S. Network Optimization
“UPS has an unwavering commitment to serving our customers around the world. As we announced in January, we are making exciting changes to optimize our network, improve efficiency and continue to deliver on our customer-first strategy. The changes underway include reassessing a small percentage of our U.S. operations. Our employees and customers remain a top priority for us during this process, and we will continue to provide industry-leading service to customers in every community we serve. We will also continue philanthropic investments through The UPS Foundation to build stronger communities, create a healthier environment and advance opportunities for all.”
