(3-19-25) How it started—
Boeing astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams arrived at the International Space Station in June 2024. The two were originally expected to stay in space for no more than 10 days, however, their return was delayed after their Boeing spacecraft encountered mechanical issues. The spacecraft was subsequently sent unoccupied back to Earth.
How the want ended—
On March 14, a Space X crew arrived at the space station to begin the return of Wilmore and Williams’ journey back to Earth as part of a joint SpaceX and NASA mission. The crew consisted of astronauts Anne McClain, Nichole Ayers, Takuya Onishi and Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov.
They splashed down safely (3-18-25) yesterday on the coast of Florida.
