(3-12-25) Larry A. Muhlenkamp (78) of Fort Recovery crashed into a semi at the intersection of Indiana 67 and County Road 700 East around 5:51 p.m. this past Sunday in Jay County.

Muhlenkamp was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox south on County Road 700 East and approaching the intersection of Indiana 67. Muhlenkamp said that he could not see oncoming traffic because of the sun obstructing his vision and pulled into the intersection and would crash into a 1999 International 9800 semi-truck fuel tanker driven by Timothy W. Sullivan (66) of Russell Springs, Kentucky.

Muhlenkamp’s vehicle spun and crashed into the semi’s trailer before stopping north of the road in a field.

Both vehicles received heavy damage and were towed away from the scene.
