RIDGEVILLE, Ind. (3-9-25)Don “Hev” Caylor (61) a firefighter with the Ridgeville Volunteer Fire Department, died while responding to an emergency Sunday morning.

It is believed that Caylor died of a heart attack after he was found on the floor while gearing up to go to a fire.

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of our brother, Don “Hev” Caylor, of the Ridgeville Volunteer Fire Department, who tragically passed away last night while answering the call of duty.

Hev dedicated his life to serving the Ridgeville community with unwavering courage, compassion, and a relentless commitment to helping others. His selflessness and bravery touched countless lives, and his presence brought light and strength to everyone around him.
