(3-8-25) On 3/8/2025 at 4:40 AM Arcanum Fire and Arcanum Rescue was dispatched on a reported structure fire on the 100 block of West Second Street within the village limits.

Arcanum Police Department quickly confirmed a working structure fire with heavy involvement throughout the structure. A 2nd and a 3rd alarm were struck to bring in additional resources. The house was a total lost.

Upon arrival crews were faced with a fully involved house with neighboring homes being threatened by flames. Crews were unable to make entry into the home and begin a defensive attack.

No injury’s were reported.

Arcanum Fire would like to thank the following departments for their help and hard work. New Madison Volunteer Fire Department, Greenville Township Emergency Services, Pitsburg Fire Department, Greenville Ohio Fire Department, Laura Fire Company & Auxiliary ,Gettysburg Rural Fire Department, Liberty Township Fire Department and Verona Fire Department.

Cruizers Cafe provided coffee for the Crews. Arcanum Water & Light and Center Point Energy also provided assistance with electric and gas shut off.
