(3-7-25) The Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) responded at 7:49 p.m. last night to State Route 29 south of Fort Loramie Swanders Road on initial reports of a crash.

A 2021 GMC Acadia was traveling northwest on State Route 29 near Fort Loramie Swanders Road when it went off the right side of road and hit a guardrail.

The SUV overturned and came to rest in a ditch.

The driver of the SUV Jill Albers (45) of Versailles passed away from her injuries in the crash.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Anna Fire Department, Fort Loramie Community Fire Department, Shelby County Coroner’s Office, and Wreckers Towing and Transport LLC all assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
