HARLAN, Ind. (2-28-25) — Nicolas Abenamar Perez Santis (41) Harlan, Indiana led the Hicksville (Ohio) Police Department on a chase through Ohio and into Indiana early Friday morning,

Police had been notified about a possible intoxicated driver at a business in Hicksville. Police located the vehicle and attempted to stop it. Santis refused to stop and continued into Indiana on State Road 37.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Department took over the chase and set out spike strips three times during the chase. The chase was slow with only speeds reaching 35 mph.

Santis was arrested in Grabill, two passengers were in the car including a child.

Santis is being charged with resisting law enforcement, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and child endangerment in Indiana. He will face felony charges to be filed at a later time in Ohio.
