
(2-22-2025) Long-time local radio owner Rob Weaver is selling his local radio assets to Mark King of Portland. The sale was verified by two broadcast media sites.

From Radio Insight….In three separate transactions, Robert and Martha Weaver will sell their properties in Indiana to Mark King.
King will acquire Adams County Radio’s AC 92.7 WZBD Berne for $343,905.69, WPGW Inc.’s AC “PG 14” 1440 WPGW/105.3 W287BC and Country “J Country 100.9” WPGW-FM Portland IN for $996,873.40, and Jayland Radio’s non-commercial Classic Rock 91.7 WZJR Portland for $55,740.54.
InsideRadio ….Indiana – Mark King has filed a stock sale valued at $996,873 to buy “J-Country 101” WPGW-FM, classic hits WPGW (1400) in Portland, IN, plus AC “Z-92.7” WZBD, Berne, IN from Robert and Martha Weaver’s Adams County Radio. The deal also includes the Portland, IN-licensed translator Portland, IN at 105.3 FM which simulcasts WPGW. The filing says $100,000 cash will be paid at closing, with the remainder to be financed by the sellers. In a separate deal, King will buy classic rock WZJR (91.7) for $55, 741 from Robert, Martha, and Kyle Weaver. It will include a $10,000 cash payment at closing with the balance to be financed by the sellers.
