(2-21-25) The Piqua Police Department reports that an officer was involved in a shooting at about 4:55 p.m. Friday at 236 McKinley Ave., Piqua.

One suspect, a 44-year-old white male, died at the scene. The officer involved in the shooting was not injured in the incident. Officers responded to a call of a disturbance, which was a domestic violence complaint.

The Piqua Police Department reports that there is no ongoing threat to the community. More information will be shared as it is able to be released.

The Piqua Police Department has requested the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation to assist with the investigation of the incident.
