(2-17-25) State Rep. Angie King (Celina-R) recently posted on social media a response to her questions from Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno on the recent reports of numerous drones during late January in her district.

Mercer County Sheriff Doug Timmerman said after the first reports of drones in the area that the source and purpose of the drones is unknown. Timmerman at that time said his office is working with the FBI, Federal Aviation Administration, and local law enforcement in surrounding counties – including Indiana – in the investigation.
Mercer County Sheriff Doug Timmerman said –
“The Sheriff’s Office will continue to investigate and work with federal agencies in an effort to try and identify the owners and operators of these drones.”
Rumors started ‘flying’ at that same time the drones had something to do with the recent loss of laying hens in the area. Most drones that were spotted were in rural areas.

But many questions have led to the speculation and rumors. This includes the number of hens might have been infected with the ‘bird flu by the drones’. Add to that a major fire on February 4th in Darke County that destroyed New Madison Pullets and approximately 200,000 chickens were lost.
New Madison Pullets is a poultry farm based in New Paris, OH, specializing in the breeding and sale of young hens. They provide a variety of pullets for customers looking to start or expand their flock.

To this point no specific details have been released on the situation on the drones. The question asked by many is WHY?
It is concerning that local officials cannot get the information they are requesting to share with the residents of their communities.
The federal government recently released the final documents of the JFK assignation from over 60 years ago, will the same happen with this situation?
Meanwhile Americans continue to complain about the price of eggs at their local grocery stores.
Updated Feb. 12.
The national average price of eggs hit a new all-time high in January, soaring more than 15% in a single month to $4.95 for a dozen large Grade A eggs, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Prices vary by region and type, so shoppers have seen a wide range of price points during recent shopping trips — many much higher than this. But the average figure recorded by BLS demonstrates how much worse the situation has gotten in recent months, since it surpasses the previous egg price peak recorded in January 2023 at $4.82 per dozen.
U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins told Breitbart News on Friday that as soon as she was voted on by the U.S. Senate and sworn in as the USDA Secretary that she rushed immediately into briefings Thursday afternoon on egg price issues and that she has spoken to President Trump and other top White House economic advisers, like National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett, about the issue. She said to expect major actions this week on egg prices from the Trump administration
