(2-3-25) Two earthquakes were reported today in southeastern Ohio Monday. 

A 3.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded in southern Jackson County, Ohio, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The interactive map shows reports of the shaking west towards Portsmouth and as far south as the Huntington area.

A second quake with a 2.8 magnitude was recorded in Washington County near Marietta, according to the USGS.

Monday marked another recent instance of earthquakes in the area after a 3.3 magnitude quake was reported in mid-December.
