(1-13-25) The Celina Police Department announces the retirement of K-9 Peng. K-9 Peng was officially retired on 12/30/24 after nearly 9 years of faithful service to the department and the City of Celina.
Peng was purchased in 2016, with a generous donation from Tom & Betty Leininger and Craig & Kathryn Kennedy. The Leininger-Kennedy family owns Asset Allocation Associates, Inc. of Celina.
Over the years Peng proved to be a vital member of the department in combating narcotics and tracking suspects, in the city and surrounding area. Peng also gained a few friends along the way, especially his pen pal, Gabby. Peng will continue to live with Sgt. Bartlett and his family, while enjoying his retirement.
Furthermore, we would like to Thank Sgt. Bartlett and K-9 Peng for the work they have put in.
Congratulations K-9 Peng, enjoy your retirement!
