(1-2-25) Yesterday at 10:13 am Van Wert County Sheriff Deputies along with Wren Fire and EMS responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 224 in Harrison Township.

A 2002 Buick Park Avenue driven by Aaron Ginter of Willshire, was traveling Westbound on U.S. Route 224. Ginter then attempted to turn south on to State Route 49. Ginter stated that his breaks then went out and he was unable to slow down to make the turn. He then hit a Stop sign on the west side of S.R. 49 before striking the guy wires that were connected to a power pole. Ginter then rolled over his vehicle and came to a rest on the roof.

Ginter had four passengers in the vehicle. Wren EMS transported all five occupants to Van Wert Hospital to get checked out. Paulding Putnam Electric responded to the scene.
