(12-17-24) Columbus, OH — It’s the holiday season, and Ohio Republicans are making a list and checking it twice. Unfortunately for Ohioans, the only gifts under the tree are for themselves and their favorite special interests, not working families.
- A U.S. Senate Seat for Special Interest Groups. Almost every Republican in Ohio, whether they admit it or not, is secretly hoping that an appointment to fill JD Vance’s seat will be the surprise of the holiday season. But no matter who DeWine picks, we know their only gifts will be for extreme special interests that don’t work for Ohioans.
- An endorsement from Donald Trump. Republican hopefuls for every federal & state office are racing to be the most extreme candidate in the race- but ultimately are waiting on an endorsement from 34- time convicted felon Donald Trump. While Trump prepares disastrous policies that won’t work for Ohioans, we know that every candidate or potential candidate is shaking packages listening for the sound of an endorsement beneath all that wrapping paper.
- AG Yost: More (unearned) power. After the Supreme Court ruled that Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost can’t reject a citizen-led petition for its title, legislators want to gift Yost that power anyway. We know that Yost will just use that “gift” to reject amendments that he doesn’t agree with.
- DeWine, Husted & Yost: The power to make everyone forget about their bribery scandal. State Official 1, State Official 2, and AG Yost are all hoping for a different kind of gift under the tree. This year, they’re looking to erase evidence of their involvement in the largest corruption case in Ohio’s history from the minds of the voters. But with countless evidence that points right to them, that’s going to be a heavy lift this holiday season.
- Sneaking their extreme policies past the voters. Ohio Republicans like to keep their extreme policies under wraps all year long, so it makes sense that they’ll try to hide as many as they can from the voters. This is one wish we know they won’t get- Ohio Democrats will always hold Republicans accountable for trying to sneak their unpopular and extreme policies past the voters.

nobody believes your disinformation and lies anymore give it a rest and quit crying.

“Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” GOP 100% good, Dems 100% bad. When we get far enough in the rabbit hole, we lose sight of the horizon.

Sigh. I am very aware of Menendez and he needs to be held accountable. The Dems are not as pure as “the driven snow”. The GOP isn’t either. With that said, the concept that “the problem with this article is that they accuse what they did to us all it wasn’t the Republicans lying cheating stealing our American dream it was them.” is quite off base. Pay attention to what is currently happening regarding government funding. The House had a deal that Trump has blown up because Trump wants government’s debt ceiling raised under Biden’s watch (even thought it will be GOP driven and not by Biden). Also, Elon Musk is amassing tremendous wealth and influence since the election. Do you think that will benefit the average American and help them reach the “American Dream?
