(12-16-24) A magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported today near the Chesapeake, Ohio area and was felt as far as Kentucky and West Virginia.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was reported just 2.1 miles northwest of Chesapeake around 4:39 p.m. EST. Reports of the earthquake stretch from Ona and Barboursville in West Virginia to Catlettsburg, Kentucky.
Most of the affected area reported an intensity level of 3-4, which is considered weak to light with no damages. The earthquake had a reported depth of around 14 miles.
