(12-15-24) The Celina Police arrested Richard Garcia-Meijas (50) on a 1st degree misdemeanor theft without consent charge.

Theft is defined in ORC 2913.02 as knowingly obtaining or exerting control over property or services that is valued at $1000 or more, but less than $7500:

  • Without the consent of the owner (or authorized person);
  • Beyond the scope of an owner’s consent; or

He is being held in the Mercer County Adult Detention Center on $2,000 cash bond. He is awaiting a Celina Municipal Court hearing.
