RIDGE TOWNSHIP (12-9-24)— Four Van Wert residents were seriously injured Sunday afternoon when Jadyn R. Bullinger (20) failed to yield at a stop sign in Van Wert County. The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash at 2:08 p.m. Sunday.

Bullinger of Van Wert was driving a 2014 Chrysler 200 eastbound on State Road when she failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection with Mendon Road, where Aireyona A. Thornsberry (19) of Van Wert, drove northbound in a 2009 Nissan Moreno. Thornsberry’s vehicle struck Bullinger’s vehicle on the right side.
Lutheran Air Med Flight transported one passenger, Chloe J. Morefield (20) of Van Wert, to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne with serious injuries.
Middle Point EMS transported Bullinger and Van Wert EMS transported Thornsberry and her passenger, Tabatha A. Thornsberry (36) of Van Wert, to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
The Van Wert post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol indicated in their report that drug impairment was suspected to be a factor for Bullinger in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
Also assisting at the scene were Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, Superior Collision and Jim Schmidt Chevrolet.
