House Republicans took the vote behind closed doors on Wednesday evening.
The House Republican leadership team includes:

Huffman has been Senate President for the past four years, because of term limits he ran for the House. Huffman (64) is an attorney who served in the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2014.
Sen. Rob McColley (R., Napoleon) was selected by his caucus to replace Huffman as the next Senate president.
