(11-17-24) Government officials made statements on an incident yesterday in Columbus.

A small group of at least 11 men marching were seen yesterday bearing swastikas and shouting obscenities into a microphone in the Short North Arts District, is just north of the city’s downtown center.

Columbus Police Sgt. Joe Albert in a Columbus Dispatch story said –

“Shortly after officers arrived on scene, the group left the area without incident. Officers stopped a van the group left in a short distance away to investigate the potential assault that may have taken place. Many of the individuals inside the van were detained, however, it was later determined that an assault did not take place and all of the individuals were released.”

There is no word yet on where the marchers may have come from or who they are affiliated with.
