(11-16-24) Shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers with the Marysville Post responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 33 near State Route 235 in Logan County.

A 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV driven by former Celina resident Vern Schroyer (70) of Marysville was heading southeast on US 33.
A 2009 Kenworth tractor and trailer driven by David Jones (51) of Galloway was stopped on US 33 due to a previous crash.
Schroyer failed to come to a stop in time and struck the semi from the rear.
Jones was not injured as a result of the crash.
Schroyer was taken by Indian Lake EMS to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton with life-threatening injuries.
All occupants were wearing seat belts.
Troopers were assisted by Logan County Sheriff’s deputies, Washington Township police, Indian Joint Fire District, Lakeview Fire Department, Lakeview EMS, Wren’s Towing, Englewood Towing and Logan County ODOT.
The crash remains under investigation.
