(11-5-24) On Saturday he Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a ATV crash on C.R. 500 West in Preble Township.
Paul Ruble (45) of Decatur was operating a 2001 Yamaha Raptor 660 RVC overnight into Saturday at his residence, the ATV began moving in a sideways direction and flipped when it hit the residence’s concrete driveway.
Ruble was partially thrown and partially pinned under the ATV on the driveway as a result of the impact. Ruble’s wife found her husband on Saturday morning after the crash, when she realized he hadn’t returned home.
Ruble was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Haggard – Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home. Please dress casual for visitation, St. Joseph School, Bellmont, or Purdue attire is encouraged.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2024, in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father David Ruppert presiding. Burial will immediately follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to his Children’s Education Fund (checks payable to Lori Ruble).
