(10-27-24) On October 26, 2024 at 8:18 p.m., Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Union City Fire and Rescue responded to the 1100 block of Converse Road in reference to a single vehicle crash with injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a red 2006 Toyota Corolla, driven by Jacob Weaver (19), of Greenville, was traveling eastbound on Converse Road. Weaver failed to negotiate a curve, and traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking a tree.

Weaver was treated on scene, and released. Weavers’ female juvenile passenger was transported to Wayne Hospital for a minor injury.

This accident remains under investigation.
