Stateline Area Under Elevated Fire Danger

(10-6-24) The National Weather Service Northern Indiana says the entire Stateline area is under an elevated fire danger.

Dry grasses and mature crops may ignite quickly with any heat source (fire, hot farming equipment) this afternoon. Strong winds and low humidity values would allow the potential of a rapid spread of any fire. Burning is not advised this afternoon.
