(9-30-24) On September 28, 2024 at about 4:58PM 20 year old Zane Bowsher arrived at Celina P.D. Dispatch and passed a note to the dispatcher advising of the need for a Fire Dept. response to 1114 Lilac St. Celina Police responded and extinguished a fire near the front door. The Celina Fire Department also responded.

Through the investigation it was found the Zane Bowsher lived at the residence owned by his parents Aaron and Cynthia Bowsher who were returning from an a trip out of town. They arrived while officers were still on scene. Access to the Ring Doorbell camera was obtained and a recording showed Zane Bowsher starting a fire near the front door.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Celina Fire Dept. and the Ohio Fire Marshall. Mercer County Prosecutor Erin Miner is reviewing the case.

Zane Bowsher was arrested on Arson charges, a felony. His bond was set at $250,000.

(9-28-24) Zane Bowsher (20) of Celina was arrested today by the Celina Police Department on 1st degree misdemeanor of Arson, property of another.

Arson is considered a first-degree misdemeanor (M-1) if the value of the damage does not exceed $1,000. If convicted, an M-1, it is punishable up 6 months in jail, a fine not to exceed $1,000 and you will be ordered to pay restitution or receive probation.

He is in the Mercer County Adult Detention Center with a $2,000 (10%) bond. He is awaiting a Celina Municipal Court appearance.
