(9-21-24) Julio C. Suazo (33) of Portland was injured after riding his bicycle in the front of oncoming traffic and was hit by Robert Osterfeld (70) of Celina who was driving a 2017 Honda Pilot on Friday afternoon at around 2:14 pm.

Osterfeld was driving east on Water Street near the intersection with Morton Street in Portland. He
told Portland Police that Suazo had rode his bicycle into his vehicle. Osterfeld said he didn’t have enough time to stop before his vehicle struck Suazo’s bicycle.

Suazo sustained a scrape on his shoulder from the crash and declined treatment at the scene, later he would go to IU Health Jay for evaluation
