Columbus, OH (9-20-24) —  In case you missed it, last week Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost made headlines for suggesting that Donald Trump and JD Vance are the “law and order” ticket. Given Donald Trump’s history of high-profile legal troubles, that seems like a stretch to… most Ohioans.

After all, Donald Trump’s rather extensive record with the law has made history. He’s the first president and only federal official to be impeached twice. And the Ohio Capital Journal points out that he is also “the first major-party candidate to seek the presidency despite being convicted of 34 felonies.”

And we can’t forget January 6th 2021, when faced with the reality of having been fired by 81 million people, Donald Trump incited a mob that stormed the United States Capitol. Make no mistake- he encouraged ignoring the rule of law in favor of overthrowing a democratically elected president and the choice of millions of Americans.

.“Seriously, AG Yost? That sounds like the opposite of a ‘law and order’ candidate to us,. But if by law and order he means sacrificing constituents’ safety in the name of partisanship, then that sounds about right.”
