(8-17-24) Life T. Farley (20) of Portland was sentenced this week in Jay Circuit Court to seven years in the Indiana Department of Correction for confining his former partner and the mother of his children in February.

Farley pleaded guilty in July to criminal confinement with moderate bodily injury, a Level 4 felony. The charge was reduced from a Level 3 felony for criminal confinement resulting in serious bodily injury.

As part of his plea deal a Level 1 felony for rape and several other charges were dropped.
