Jay County Civic Theatre Call for directors…Financially compensated positions for “Everyone Gets Abducted by Aliens” and “Freaky Friday”

(8-13-24) Jay County Civic Theatre is accepting applications for a director for its upcoming productions of “Everyone Gets Abducted by Aliens” and “Freaky Friday.”

We are looking for candidates comfortable working with a range of actors, including training, age and experience.

Jay County Civic Theatre is an inclusive organization and we encourage large, multi generational casts.

“Everyone Gets Abducted by Aliens” is a short play (about 30 minutes) that will have a cast of performers who are in eighth grade and younger.

“Freaky Friday” is a full-length musical that will incorporate a cast of all ages.

Those interested should email a letter of interest, resume and a list of three references to jaycountycivic@gmail.com. Resumes should include any previous directorial experience and a list of the last four shows you were involved in. Please specify which show you are interested in directing.

Jay County Civic Theatre’s board of directors may review applications as early as its Aug. 21 board meeting. You may be asked to attend the meeting to discuss your vision for the show with the board. For more information, email jaycountycivic.com.
