(8-5-24) Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies say that Neal W. Poling (68) of Decatur died at the scene of the crash at 12:27 p.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. 27 and County Road 400 North, just south of Decatur.

Poling, driving a Camaro, was eastbound on CR 400 north when he crossed the into the intersection without yielding and was t-boned by a semi truck driven by Mark Roser (70) of North Manchester. Witnesses told deputies that the semi had the green light.
Roser, who was not injured. submitted to a chemical test at a local hospital, but alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
