(7-29-24) The membership of St. Pal’s Country Church, located at 1538 Oregon Road, Rockford, OH invites you to their worship service at 10 AM on Sunday, August 4, 2024.

The sermon title by retired pastor Doug Meyer is “Something is Missing“ which is based on Luke 12:13-21.  

13 Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” 

14 Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me ajudge or an arbiter between you?” 15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against allkinds of greed; life does not consist in anabundance of possessions.”

16 And he told them this parable: “The groundof a certain rich man yielded an abundantharvest. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall Ido? I have no place to store my crops.’

18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I willtear down my barns and build bigger ones, andthere I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I’ll sayto myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up formany years. Take life easy; eat, drink and bemerry.” ’

20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool!l This verynight your life will be demanded from you.m Thenwho will get what you have prepared foryourself?’

21 “This is how it will be with whoever storesup things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”

Sunday School starts at 9:00 a.m. for all ages. Children’s Junior Church is every Sunday except the last Sunday of the month. Bible-based lessons and children’s activities plus snacks are included.
