(7-20-24) Two Ohio Democrats have called for President Biden to drop his bid for the Democratic nomination.

Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown and Ohio US Rep (1st District) Greg Landsman have both said they would like Biden to leave the race.

Brown in a NBC story –

“Over the last few weeks, I’ve heard from Ohioans on important issues, such as how to continue to grow jobs in our state, give law enforcement the resources to crack down on fentanyl, protect Social Security and Medicare from cuts, and prevent the ongoing efforts to impose a national abortion ban. These are the issues Ohioans care about and it is my job to keep fighting for them.”

I agree with the many Ohioans who have reached out to me,” Brown added. “At this critical time, our full attention must return to these important issues. I think the President should end his campaign.”

Landsman told MSNBC –

“We need somebody to make the case against Trump and that requires Mr. Biden to do the right thing… and pass the torch onto a new leader.”

The Democrat party has two factions…those who want to see Biden drop out, the other is the Biden Campaign team who insists that Biden is the only choice to beat President Trump in November.
