(7-18-24) The Union City Police Department announces the arrest of Tabitha St. Myers and Jamie Hiestand following a traffic stop on North Howard Street. During the stop, the K9 Blaise conducted a free air sniff of their vehicle and alerted the officers to the presence of illegal substances. A subsequent search led to the discovery of methamphetamine and gabapentin pills.

What is gabapentin used for?

Gabapentin is commonly used to treat and prevent seizures in people with epilepsy or to treat nerve pain (postherpetic neuralgia) that can occur after a viral infection called shingles.

Tabitha St. Myers and Jamie Hiestand were taken into custody and are now housed in the Randolph County Sheriff’s Jail.
