Kaid is 7 weeks old today and will be 32 weeks corrected tomorrow. He’s been doing really well since receiving a blood transfusion on Sunday. His medical team has started reducing his breathing support settings, and we hope to switch him to regular C-PAP soon.

Last night, we tried a new holding position to prepare for breastfeeding, and he did great! He enjoyed being nuzzled. Over the past two days, he has tolerated having his mask off for several minutes at a time, and we were able to see his face. He loved it when I rubbed his head! These milestones may seem small to some, but they’re huge wins for us. Kaid is definitely growing. He weighed in at 3lbs .6oz and 15.2” long tonight!

We are continually amazed by how God has blessed us. Please don’t stop praying for our boy, we know the prayers are working! Here are some pictures and a video we took while Kaid’s mask was off!
