(7-4-24) Yesterday at 2:09 pm Van Wert County Sheriff’s Deputies along with the Ohio City Fire and EMS responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on State Route 118 at Wren Landeck Road in Liberty Township.
A 2024 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Gattu Ravikumar (23) of Cincinnati was westbound on Wren Landeck Rd. Unit Two was southbound on St Rt 118. Ravikumar failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Wren Landeck Rd and St Rt 118 and struck a 2015 Ford Explorer driven by Terri McFarland (69) of Van Wert on the driver’s side making his vehicle leave the roadway and strike a signpost and ditch. McFarland was transported to Van Wert Health for injuries. Ravikumar reported no injuries.
Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. Ravikumar was issued a citation for failure to stop and yield at a stop sign.
