(6-27-24) The Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5713 elected it’s first female commander Paige Shivers. She is a 2008 Celina graduate and the daughter of Kraig and Sharon Crockett. Commander Shivers is married to Chuck Shivers of Pickerington, Ohio whom she met during her service in the military. They have 3 boy’s and also a girl on the way. Paige served her country from 2010-2023 and earned her eligibility to the VFW during Operation Enduring Freedom.
Shivers and the Celina VFW recently made four donations.
- $5,000 donation to Boy Scout Brody Reigle. This will help Brody complete is Eagle Scout project.
- Saturday night the Celina VFW donated 70 dinner’s to the Mariner’s baseball team.
- $3,500 donation to MCERV (Zach Piper)
- $1,000 donation to Grand Lake Skate Hockey (Cole Stephens)
