Celina, Ohio – May 13, 2024 – The Mercer County District Library announces that the main Library in Celina will be closed on Friday, May 17, for a staff development day. This annual training event is crucial for enhancing the library’s services and resources, ultimately benefiting the community.
Staff development is a vital component of maintaining high-quality library services. By investing in our staff’s professional growth, we ensure that they are equipped with the latest skills and knowledge to better serve our patrons. This training day allows our team to learn new technologies, improve customer service practices, and stay updated on library trends and innovations.
Although the library will be closed to the public on May 17, we believe that the benefits of this staff training will greatly enhance the library
experience for our patrons in the long run. We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause and encourage patrons to visit our website at mercerlibrary.org for online resources and to renew materials.

Mercer County Outlook 
Hopefully there will be better equipment for young children to use instead of so many rows of useless books..Wapakoneta is my grand daughters favorite library..We live in Celina so inconvenient.to drive to Wapak.The levy was passed so we know the money is there to use for the people. Sometimes too much training takes the fun out of a great job and the wonderful staff that work there.Think about it.!!
